The first week in September is a great time to visit Myrtle Beach. All of the attractions in the area are still open including a limited schedule at Myrtle Waves water park. The only thing that's missing are the endless long lines everywhere you go because the wild collage kids and all other schools are back in session. And most attractions drop their prices after school starts back. The weather in the first week of September is just right to visit Myrtle Beach. The air temp has dropped for the high 90s and low 100s of July to the mid 80s. But the water temp is still the same as July and August the two highest months of the year. It's the best time of the year for a beach vacation and a swim in Myrtle Beach.

Scroll down on this link below from AccuWeather for the month of September air temperatures. For the first week in September the daily average temp history is 86 daytime / 67 nightly

Scroll down this link below from The National Weather Service to see a chart of the September water temperatures in Myrtle Beach. Notice that the water temp for the first week in Sept. is the same as in the two warmest water temperature months of the year July and August, 83 degrees.

Myrtle Beach is not just a beach. It's known as The Grand Strand. It's a entertainment, fishing, sporting and amusement destination with 60 miles of white sandy beach's from Little River to Winyah Bay. And even though I love that beach, I hardly get a chance to sink my toes in it because there's just so many fun things to do in Myrtle. Mustang Week has a lot to keep us busy for the whole week. But for those members like myself who want to make the week both a YMR/ Mustang Week Show and a personal beach vacation, here are a few ideas highlighted below of fun things to do in Myrtle Beach.

Coupons and discounts for any and everything in Myrtle Beach 2019...https://www.visitmyrtlebeach.com/plan/deals/

Two really nice Casino Yachts. Plenty of slot machines and five different live table games. All you can eat Buffett. It's worth it just for the ride out into the ocean on a nice boat.  Check out this link to learn more...https://www.bigmcasino.com/

Amusements/ Attractions... https://www.visitmyrtlebeach.com/things-to-do/attractions/

September is the heart of golf season in Myrtle Beach. Throw the sticks in the trunk. The area is home to more than 100 golf courses....https://www.visitmyrtlebeach.com/things-to-do/golf/

Myrtle is famous for it's many dinner and non dinner shows... https://www.visitmyrtlebeach.com/things-to-do/shows-entertainment/

Dining... Myrtle has more restaurants than you can shake a stick at. Last count was 246 by Tripadvisor...https://www.visitmyrtlebeach.com/restaurants/

Can’t wait!!!!  I’ll be there this year💛💛💛. If you need any help let me know. I can come down earlier if you need!

Hi Christa, really nice of you to offer to help. I've got it nailed down right now but if something comes up i'll be sure contact you. We would love to have you come down early anyway. Glad you can make it this year.... :)

It's time again for the biggest Mustang/SVT Event on the east coast.... Mustang Week. Last year was a great show. It's hard to imagine how the Mustang Week gang can top last years show but they do it every year.  Mother nature must really love Yellow Mustangs to because the weather was awesome. The temps were in the mid 80s all week with 70s at night and the water temps were more than warm enough for a swim in the ocean. Members really enjoyed the beach and the pools at The Grand Shores. The summer congestion is gone, no waiting or trouble parking at any restaurant and prices are more affordable for hotels and entertainment throughout the Grand Strand. It's the perfect Labor Day Week Vacation for a YMR member. Come join us. It's gonna be another awesome good time.... 8)

General Discussion / Re: Mustang Owners Museum Grand Opening
« on: October 22, 2018, 09:56:57 AM »
Yep, we'll be there. I have been a member almost since they first opened registration about two years ago. I'm both a Charter and Founder member.  We are staying at one of the host hotels (Sleep Inn Suites) which is located just behind the hotel that we had for the Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration Show back April of 2014. We'll be there Thursday and Friday evening. I think it's been booked full for about two months now. Theresa and I will be picking up our registration packets Thursday around noon time. From there we'll get some lunch and then head to the Speedway to take part in the Guinness World Record Parade of Mustangs @ CMS 6PM. Friday after breakfast we'll hit the Museum and leave about 2pm to pick my granddaughter up at school. She lives about 5 miles from there. We will not be attending the Hall of Fame Dinner Friday evening. Saturday we'll be back at the track by 10am to attend the show and do the Parade Laps around Charlotte Motor Speedway starting at 12PM. After that we'll do dinner somewhere before heading home. We will not be doing the Saturday Night Banquet at Cabarrus Arena. If you guys go we'll get together at the show or museum and do dinner. Maybe there will be a few other YMR members there as well.
